How to Develop Your Psychic Abilities (My Journey & Tips)
Recently, someone messaged me with this question:
"I'm a Psychology graduate and we normally dismiss talking about these things. We believed that this will attract negative entities and is against the teachings of the Bible. I'm just wondering if I have this gift as well? Can you develop this gift?"
I really relate to this. Honestly, many of us have psychic abilities — but not everyone has them activated. Sometimes, because of fear or because of how we were raised, we choose to ignore them.
Today, I want to share how I discovered and developed my gifts. Maybe this can also help you if you want to explore your own abilities, whether for personal growth or for your spiritual journey.
1. Educate Yourself
At first, I was really scared. My father was strict and would say that this was the work of the devil. I was also active in church before, so I really thought it was wrong.
But I was exposed to the healing rituals of my grandmother. She was the one who healed us whenever we got sick. That’s when I saw that if you use it for good, it isn’t bad at all.
I also had visions that came true — like when the bus we were riding almost fell off a cliff on our way to Bicol. That was a huge eye-opener for me.
Instead of letting fear control me, I educated myself. I collected newspaper clippings and wrote them down in my journal. I also loved reading books at National Bookstore (good thing occult books weren’t banned yet back then 😄).
Little by little, I overcame my fear and became more open to possibilities.
2. Find Your Deep Purpose
When I was young, life was tough. My dad didn’t have a stable job, and my mom was sick.
I thought, if I learned divination, maybe I could help them and myself too.
I had so many dreams — I wanted to succeed, I wanted my mom to get better, and I wanted to help my family.
I planted in my mind: I will use this for my personal growth and to help my family. It wasn’t just a hobby or something to play around with.
3. Apply What You Learn
Slowly, I applied everything I learned. A classmate gave me an oracle card when I was in high school, and that’s where I started practicing.
I drew cards almost every day to guide me in my decisions.
Later on, I also studied astrology and numerology. I used them to identify my weaknesses that I needed to work on and my strengths that I could maximize.
Because of the guidance I received, I found a job, was able to help my family, and eventually went back to school.
Eventually, when I was already helping myself and my family, I started helping others too. It felt so fulfilling to see them find their direction and inner peace.
That’s when I realized these gifts aren’t evil. They only become harmful if they’re used to deceive or take advantage of other people.
4. Find the Right Guidance
It’s super important to have a guide — mentors or a community that aligns with your values.
Be careful of “gurus” who only use these gifts for fame or power trips.
Choose mentors who have true wisdom and genuinely use their gifts to help themselves and others, not just to show off.
You’ll see their sincerity through their actions, not just their words.
So, is it possible that you also have a gift?
Yes! We all do.
The question is: are you ready to embrace it and use it properly?
I hope these tips help you. If you want more guidance, just stay tuned for my upcoming blog posts.
Remember: trust your journey, use your gifts with love, and always stay grounded.
