Can Astrology Predict Earthquakes?
As someone who loves astrology, I just want to share a pattern I noticed in the recent strong earthquakes that occurred.
But before we talk about that, I want to make it clear that the planets do not control what happens on Earth. Their movement or position does not cause earthquakes or disasters. In astrology, planetary movements are like a clock — they simply show when certain natural cycles of the world are likely to occur.
In other words, the Earth has cycles that naturally repeat over time. When one cycle ends, it eventually comes back again. And the positions of the planets simply mirror those recurring cycles.
The Earthquakes That Showed a Pattern
- September 30, 2025, 9:59 PM – magnitude 6.9, City of Bogo, Cebu
- October 10, 2025, 9:43 AM – magnitude 7.4, Manay, Davao Oriental
- October 10, 2025, later that day – magnitude 6.8, Manay, Davao Oriental
- October 11, 2025, 10:32 PM – magnitude 6.0, Cagwait, Surigao del Sur
- October 13, 2025, 1:06 AM – magnitude 5.8, City of Bogo, Cebu
Historical earthquakes in the Philippines:
- 1976 Moro Gulf Earthquake – magnitude 8.1, caused a massive tsunami
- 1990 Luzon Earthquake – magnitude 7.8, caused major destruction in Baguio, Cabanatuan, and Dagupan
International reference:
- 1952 Severo-Kurilisk Earthquake, Russia – magnitude 8.8 to 9.0
After examining the astrological charts of all these events, I found one consistent pattern: all of them had Neptune sextile Pluto present in their charts.
What Neptune Sextile Pluto Means
In astrology, an aspect is the angle or distance between two planets. When they are in a sextile, they are 60 degrees apart. Usually, a sextile indicates that the two planets are working harmoniously together.
- Neptune: associated with water, storms, and natural calamities
- Pluto: connected to major transformations, destruction, and rebirth
When these two planets form a sextile, their energies combine, often manifesting as significant changes or releases of energy in the physical world — such as earthquakes or tsunamis.
I also noticed that in almost all of the mentioned earthquakes, Neptune sextile Pluto occurred with a zero-degree orb. This means they were almost exactly 60 degrees apart, making the aspect’s influence even stronger.
Before this exact zero-degree alignment happened on June 30, 2025, a magnitude 5.6 earthquake struck Balut Island, Davao Occidental on June 24, 2025. After that, a series of strong quakes followed.
According to the data, the zero-degree Neptune sextile Pluto alignment will last until October 30, 2026.
A 100-Year Planetary Cycle
According to astrological sources, we are currently nearing the end of a 100-year Neptune–Pluto sextile cycle that began in the early 1940s. It is expected to continue until the 2030s or early 2040s before fully transitioning into a new planetary phase. This means we are now in the final stretch of this alignment, which is often associated with major changes in the world, the environment, and human society.
Awareness, Not Fear
The important thing to remember is that this is not the cause of earthquakes. The planets do not move to create disasters. Astrology is simply a way to understand where we are in Earth’s natural cycles.
While we can use astrology as a guide, we must always rely on science. Always check official updates from PHIVOLCS and pay attention even to minor tremors, as they can sometimes be early signs of shifting ground.
My purpose in sharing this is not to spread fear, but to raise awareness and encourage preparedness. Astrology can serve as a guide — but we should continue to trust and follow science.
