Gayuma: Ingredients, How It Affects a Person, and Its Limitations
When people hear the word gayuma, they often think of a spell that can make someone fall in love with them right away. But gayuma is not that simple, and its effects are not instant.
Based on my experience as a practitioner, gayuma is more about influence, connection, and intention. A medium is used to establish a connection with the target, while the ingredients and other elements of the ritual are chosen according to what you want to manifest.

In this article, we will talk about what is used in gayuma, how it may affect a person, how long it may take to see results, and the limitations of what it can do.
Ingredients Used in Gayuma
The first thing needed in this kind of practice is a connection. This is why traditional practices may use something that comes from or belongs to the person, such as hair, fingernails, saliva, or a personal item.
This object serves as a medium, or a bridge between the love ritual and the person you want the ritual to affect.
If no personal item is available, you can use the person's name, date of birth, or picture. A personal item already has a direct connection to the person, so it does not need to be activated. A name or picture, however, still needs to be brought to life in order to create an energetic connection with the target.
How?
This is where visualization comes in. While holding the picture or a piece of paper containing the person's full name and date of birth, you visualize what they look like, how they speak, how they move, and what their presence feels like. You continue until you feel that you have established a sufficient connection.
This also requires practice. Proper visualization takes training, especially when it comes to maintaining focus and making the connection feel clear.
Once the connection with the target has been established, the concept of sympathetic magic comes into play.
How Does Gayuma Affect a Person?
Once a connection with the target has been established, the ritual is used to influence the situation. In sympathetic magic, this works through symbolism: what you symbolically create in the ritual represents the condition you want to create in real life.
A simple example is a honey jar. Because honey is sweet, it is used symbolically to encourage sweeter or more pleasant interactions with another person. If there is bitterness or emotional distance between you, the intention is to gradually ease those feelings and create a better interaction.
This also shows why choosing the right materials is important. You should not use an ingredient simply because you saw it in a ritual on TikTok, YouTube, or Facebook.
Each material carries a symbolic meaning, so it should align with the intention of the ritual. For example, some people use garlic in love magic, but personally, I would question that choice. Garlic has a strong smell and is associated with other purposes in magical practices. If the symbolism of an ingredient does not match your goal, why include it?
The same applies to the timing, sequence, prayers, chants, and other elements of the ritual. They should all work toward the same intention rather than contradict one another.
Even when all of these elements are properly aligned, however, that does not mean the results will appear instantly.
The Effects of Gayuma Are Not Instant
One of the biggest misconceptions about gayuma is the expectation that you can perform a ritual today and see results the very next day.
It does not usually work that way.
For me, magic still works through natural circumstances. It may create opportunities or help remove certain obstacles so that the situation can move more in your favor.
In my experience, there are times when effects can be noticed within one to two weeks. In other cases, it may take several months, depending on the situation and the obstacles involved.
For example, two people may already have feelings for each other but both hesitate because they have been friends for a long time and are afraid of ruining the friendship. The connection already exists, so the main obstacle is their hesitation. In a situation like this, the effects may appear sooner.
A more complicated situation may take longer. For example, if the person requesting the ritual and the target have been separated for a long time, it may take more than a month before any result becomes noticeable. However, the timeframe still depends on the situation and what comes through in the psychic reading.
Should You Rely Entirely on Gayuma?
No. Even if gayuma produces an effect, that does not mean magic will do everything for you.
The role of gayuma is to open opportunities and help remove obstacles that may be preventing the situation from moving in the direction you want. But once your intention begins to materialize, you also have to do your part.
For example, if communication between you starts again or the other person becomes more open toward you, it is then up to both of you to maintain that connection. A relationship still requires effort, communication, respect, and proper treatment of one another.
Gayuma also does not guarantee that a relationship will succeed. Every person still has their own choices, and there are things a ritual cannot fix if both people are unwilling to work on or continue the relationship.
So do not rely on magic for everything. It may open the door, but you still have to walk through it and take care of whatever develops afterward.
